About the Network
​Whether you’re an existing established group or just thinking about getting involved in providing local community activities or services, we can give you a helping hand to turn your vision into reality.
From developing a new social group, to establishing a new Charity or improving your capacity, we are here to support you.
Membership of South Derbyshire CVS Community Network is open to all groups who want work towards making a better local community.
Membership is free of charge for VCSE groups and organisations operating in the South Derbyshire District.


Membership gives you access to:

in person and online network meetings and workshops throughout the year.

comprehensive support and guidance from member of the Community Development Team, covering a range of topics which includes, but not limited to, applying for funding, volunteer management, and group governance.

support with the recruitment of volunteers through our Volunteer Centre, including early-bird registration to exhibit at our Annual Volunteer Fair and other events.

a wide ranging and comprehensive library of online resources.

our online Funding Directory which lists many available community grants and early-bird registration to attend our Annual Funding Fair.

discounted rates on Hive Training courses alongside FREE in person, online and eLearning training sessions and webinars throughout the year.

FREE 3-hour meeting room hire each year (accommodates up to 12 people).

South Derbyshire CVS Community Development Team support voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) groups and organisations across South Derbyshire with the tools they need to thrive. Whether you're looking for guidance on funding, growing your capacity, or recruiting and managing volunteers, we’re here to help. Our mission is to strengthen the local VCSE sector through expert advice, practical resources, and one-to-one support to empower groups to make a lasting impact in their communities.
